Registration of motor vehicles
A request for vehicle registration is submitted to the Ministry of the Interior of the HNC-Department for Administration and Support, according to the place in whose territory the vehicle owner has his/her permanent residence or registered office, or in whose territory the registered office of a business unit or branch is located, or the place of residence of a displaced person and the place of approved residence of a foreigner. Exceptionally, for vehicles purchased on the basis of leasing, registration is carried out by the competent authority in the place of residence or registered office of the lessee.
The vehicle registration procedure is prescribed by the Regulation on Vehicle Registration.

Registration of classic cars
A classic car is a vehicle that:
was manufactured thirty years ago or more,
has been preserved or reassembled in its original form in order to preserve historical heritage and technical culture,
is not used in everyday traffic,
is classified as a classic car in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance on the Procedure and Manner of Registration of Classic Cars.
The procedure for registering old-timer vehicles is carried out in the manner prescribed by the valid Ordinance on vehicle registration.
